Nicolas Rabault
Originaly real time and embeded systems engeneer, graduate from the IUT de Ville d’Avray and ingésup Paris, Nicolas has a big experience in robotics. He started to study, imaginate and create robots from the age of 15. During his cursus he participated several times at eurobot, the robotic European cup, one of the flagship events of the European robotics. In this contest, it was ranked 5th / 250 best European in 2009 before integrating his engineering school. He was part of the teams Ingesup robotics, MakingBot, or RCVA, one of the leading teams of the competition.
In 2009, he joined the leading humanoid robotics company in the world Aldebaran robotics in parallel with his engineer studies. Nicolas also founded and chaired the MakingBot association. This association aims at creating robotic technology bricks and popularizing robotics in France. This structure promotes alternative models, open source and develops technologies to standardize robotics as modules. During his engineer career Nicolas has worked for companies such as Sagem, Schneider electric, Itron, Elsys Design or Mstar semiconductors. Nicolas joined the Poppy project to make electronic architecture as accessible as possible. Nicolas believes that robotics will be a key area in the future and that we need to create today robotics technologies and standards of tomorrow. Nicolas brings expertise across the architecture part, modularity, low level software, electronics, and robots production.
